who am I?
Well, before the birth of Let’s Talk Bottom Line, I was just Ebony – a determined woman from south central LA, juggling the responsibilities of being a mother to two young boys and supporting my husband who serves our country. Graduating with my bachelor’s degree was a significant achievement, but it also brought uncertainty about the next steps in my career due to my husband’s overseas deployment.
In 2018, while visiting my husband abroad, the idea of “The Accounting Mom” , which has evolved to “ Let’s Talk Bottom Line”. It symbolized my journey of accounting for all the different aspects of my life. However, fear and life’s challenges got in the way, and I never fully pursued it. Looking back, I now realize that my attempts to fit into the corporate world and maintain my old practices were hindering my growth.
Now, I’m taking a leap of faith and sharing what I’ve learned and continue to learn along the way! Entrepreneurship can be tough and intimidating, but there’s something truly special about having a companion on the journey.
